Galapagos Cruises and Tours SCUBA Diving

Inti Travel and Tours' Discover Galapagos offers a variety of opportunities for SCUBA diving in the Galapagos Islands. Underwater Galapagos can be as exciting and interesting as Galapagos ashore. The combination of ocean fishes, birds, mammals and reptiles sets Galapagos apart from other marine environments. Divers share the water with penguins, sea lions, marine iguanas, sea turtles, angel fish, large schools of amberjacks and many other species of fish including hammerhead sharks.  

One must be a certified and experienced diver to dive in Galapagos. It is not suitable for novice or infrequent divers due to strong currents, sea swells, surges, cool waters, upwellings, large animals, difficulty entry and exit from the dive boat. Most dives are drifts along the cliff faces of off-shore rocks and pinnacles. There is no decompression chamber in Galapagos.

Almost all of our yachts are available for SCUBA charters. Below is a list of yachts that are dedicated to SCUBA or offer SCUBA during regular itinerary cruises. All of the itineraries of the yachts offering SCUBA include some land visits.

Galapagos Explorer II
The ship provides all the facilities and services to make the cruises enjoyable and comfortable. Features aboard include swimming pool, Jacuzzi, solarium, spacious dining room, an electronic elevator, large conference room, lounge, three bar areas with music, Boutique and reading room.

Finch Bay Resort

Hotel Silberstein
The Hotel Silberstein is located on Santa Cruz Island in the town of Puerto Ayora, five minutes walk to Charles Darwin Research Station and 50 meters to the sea.

Eric, Letty & Flamingo
Built in 1990 to 1994, our signature fleet of three identical 83-foot 20-passenger motor yachts the Eric, Flamingo and Letty were custom-designed exclusively for cruising the Galapagos Islands. Accommodations include ten double outside cabins located on three decks, each with large private bathroom and fresh, hot and cold-water shower.

Sky Dancer

Custom-designed in 2000, the M/Y Sky Dancer offers the newest and best-equipped vessel for SCUBA diving in the Galapagos.

Lammer Law 
This deluxe sailing yacht is also fully equipped for SCUBA diving charters and some special FIT SCUBA itineraries. Attractive and functional, she is perfect for the naturalist (or dedicated diver). An ample an stable 93 feet (28.5 m) Motor Sailer Trimaran with a cruising speed of 10 knots, it has 8 very roomy cabins for 16 passengers. There is plenty of storage room and all beds in cabins cab be arranged as a double or single. Each cabin has private washroom facilities with fresh, hot and cold-water shower.

Beluga
The Beluga is a deluxe, 110 foot, steel-hulled motor vessel built in Hamburg, Germany in 1968. It is fully air-conditioned and accommodates 16 passengers in double staterooms, each with private bathroom and shower. The well-trained and experienced crew of 7 takes very good care of their guests at all times aboard and ashore.

Cachalote
Cachalote I is a charming 96 foot schooner offering first class service. She  is equipped with 8 double occupancy cabins, making the total passengers 16. Each cabin has its own private A/C unit making it fully air conditioned, plus its own W.C. with hot and cold water 24 hours a day. Passengers can relax on one of the three wooden decks while sailing or just anchored in a harbor, but don’t forget that sunscreen!

Nautilus
The Nautilus (nee Sea Cloud) is a beautiful and spacious pilot house motor sailer. Extremely comfortable and attractive, with rich teak paneling and furnishings, she offers ample room for al fresco occasions at the large cushioned cockpit. The Nautilus is the perfect choice for those interested in an active cruise with overnights in comfortable hotels.
