Cachalote I is a charming 96 foot schooner offering first class service.

She  is equipped with 8 double occupancy cabins, making the total passengers 16. Each cabin has its own private A/C unit making it fully air conditioned, plus its own W.C. with hot and cold water 24 hours a day. Passengers can relax on one of the three wooden decks while sailing or just anchored in a harbor, but don’t forget that sunscreen!

Come visit the Darwin's Enchanted Islands with our brand new schooner, you can enjoy beautiful cruising through the islands, spot dolphins and whales, snorkel with the sea lions, see red- and blue-footed boobies, frigate birds with inflated red pouches, you can enjoy the scenery and volcanoes, and see black, white and red sand beaches. Come, relax and have fun aboard the Cachalote!

All Rates are in US dollars, per person  and based on double occupancy
Children under 12 receive a 40% discount off the high season rates
and a 30% discount off the low season rates. 
Child discounts available for one child per adult
 Single supplement = 50%, shared cabins available

SCUBA: Occasional SCUBA is offered with up to 4 dives for $400 US per person with a minimum of 2 divers. Rate includes complete diving equipment (wetsuit, belt, weights, regulator, BCD, masks, snorkel, fins, tank, etc), snacks and soft drink.

Day 4   Floreana: Punta Cormorant & Post Office Bay 
Day 5   Isabela: Punta Moreno & Elizabeth Bay
Day 6   Isabela - Urbina Bay & Fernandina - Punta Espinosa
Day 7   Puerto Egas / Bartolome
Day 8:  Santa Cruz: Caleta Tortuga Negra & Baltra

Is on the main deck, near the salon.  1 double bed, closet, ensuite toilet / sink and shower - window with ocean view and large portholes 

CABINS # 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 below deck 

CABIN # 1: 
Lower double / upper single, hanging closet, ensuite toilet / sink and shower, portholes 

CABINS # 2, 3, 4, 5: 
Are all the same - Upper and lower berths, small closet, ensuite toilet / sink and shower, portholes 

CABINS # 6 and 7: 
Located at the below deck, wider lower berth, narrower upper berth, closet, ensuite toilet / sink and shower, portholes

Crew:

Captain, multilingual naturalist guide, cook, and two sailors.

Equipment: 

280 hp Caterpillar diesel engine, two 50 kilowatt generators for 220 and 110 AC, 12 volt DC, all required electronic safety equipment, tenders with outboard motors, life rafts, freezer and refrigerator, desalinator, TV and DVD player. Fully air-conditioned.
