Inti Travel and Tours and our
Ecuadorian Associates would like to welcome you to Ecuador! We are offering
all World Youth Championship (2007) climbers a 7%
discount (add another 3% if you pay in US dollars) on all of the hotels, tours and cruises we offer anywhere in the
country. July and August are typically "high season" months for Ecuador so
it's important to make your reservations as soon as possible. Just let us
know what you are interested in and we will be happy to put together a
"proposed itinerary and quote" for your trip.
Hotels and Haciendas
Ecuador offers superb accommodation with
great value for all budgets. We offer only the
best quality accommodations that
provide friendly service, good food and are located in safe surroundings
close to tourist destinations. Be sure to take a look at the various
excursions we offer from the hotels.
Galapagos Islands
While you are in Ecuador why not visit the incredible Galapagos Islands with
your friends or family and experience nature at its finest. Galapagos
tortoises, sea lions, marine iguanas, penguins, blue-footed boobies, sea turtles,
whales and dolphins all in one place!
If you are interested in any
of the ships and yachts we offer, please refer to
Galapagos Cruises and Tours.
Andes
The Andes
of Ecuador offer an incredible variety of landscape, nature, culture and
adventure. National parks, nature reserves, archaeological sites, indigenous
pueblos and superbly beautiful scenery abound. Quito, the cultural centre of
the Andes and the capital of the country, is a World Heritage Site. Our
tours offer you a unique opportunity to experience the very best of the
Andes.
Amazon
A journey to South America is not complete without a visit to the Amazon
Rainforest. The Amazon is the largest tropical rain forest on Earth,
covering about 2.7 million square miles (seven million square
kilometers) or 90% the size of the 48 lower states of the U.S. Although
the Upper Amazon of Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia is only 20% of this total,
it represents the wildest, most wildlife-packed rain forest in the
world. The density and diversity of Amazonian animal and plant species
reach global maxima in the extreme western Amazon, near the foot of the
Andes, precisely the location of many of the lodges and other
experiences we offer.
Inti Travel and Tours and our South
American associates are proud to present you with an opportunity to
travel to the Amazon to experience this spectacular rainforest with its
abundant wildlife and friendly people. Please refer to
Discover Amazonia for
links to all of the lodges and other adventures we offer in the Upper
Amazon of Ecuador!
Climbing (as if you wouldn't have had enough)
There are quite a few good climbing areas close
to Quito: Santa Clara, Sigsipampa, Sierra Virgin and Cuyuja are
a few outside of Quito on the way to (and in the vicinity of)
Papallacta Hot Springs. I would highly recommend this route if
you enjoy soaking in hot springs while gazing at a
glacier-capped volcano after an invigorating days climbing.
Papallacta Hot Springs offers good food and accommodation with
private cabanas and secluded hot pools close to the Cayambe-Coca
Ecological Reserve. And if you're not a climber, this is still
an incredible and very relaxing place!
If you are interested in getting to some
of the best climbing areas in Ecuador, please refer to the
