Great Frigate The iridescent feathers on the back of this Great Frigate shone brilliantly in the sun. The bird was perched on a salt bush on Tower Island (Genovesa) along the trail to La Barranca at the frigate breeding colony. It is very important not to disturb any of the birds. This was shot with a 100mm macro lens. Much time and great care was taken for the shot and with the bird. |
