the airport and escort you to our comfortable bus for a guided
tour from the airport to the 5 star JW

luxurious hotel in Quito and offers some great views of the
surrounding Andean mountains. On a clear day you are able to see

glacier clad volcanoes (on the equator!). After a delicious buffet
breakfast, there will be company meetings from 9 AM to 1PM. The
afternoon will be free to explore or to enjoy the hotel's
facilities.
There will be a welcome dinner at
the San Francisco (1536) convent located in the colonial downtown
(a UNESCO World Heritage Site) in a private refectory and

folk dance presents 50 people on stage. Be prepared for an unforgettable
and entertaining dinner show! Overnight at the JW
Marriott. |

Aug 14-15
After breakfast, you will board the bus for a trip to Otavalo -
the capital of the province of Imbabura. This trip is a treat of
brilliant scenery and artisan villages, like Calderón, a small
town where bread dough figurines are made in many shapes and
sizes. Continue along the valleys of Guayllabamba and Cayambe,
with their dairy farms and rose plantations. The famous Otavalo
market offers ponchos, woolen goods, tapestries, the original
"Panama" hat, sweaters, Indian jewelry and many
handicrafts.
Arrive at lunchtime to one of the
charming country inns or colonial haciendas where you will spend
the night. We will also visit the town of San Antonio de Ibarra,
famous for the woodcarvings, the town of Cotacachi, an entire town
dedicated to selling fine leather products, and the town of
Peguche where textiles are woven in old-fashioned shuttle
looms.
This tour includes walking at an altitude of
2800 meters (9200 feet) . Sun protection (SPF 40). Good walking
shoes. Great photo ops.
You will arrive back at the JW
Marriott by 6 PM on Aug 15 for another great dinner feast at the
hotel. |

airport for your flight to Galapagos. Upon your arrival in
