Galapagos Tortoises The Galapagos Tortoise on Alcedo is now in danger of becoming extinct due to the invasion of northern Alcedo by herds of goats. In 1980, the picture on the rim was very much different than that described by Tui de Roy and Lynn Fowler today. These two tortoises were photographed close to Lynn's camp in lush green vegetation. |
