A travel guide to
Galapagos
tours, boats, cruises & yacht charters |

It has been a busy day of traveling from the mainland to Galapagos. The crew waste no time in making us feel comfortable and welcome. Back on board we are welcomed with some ice cold pisco sours and delicious bocaditos (or appetizers) before dinner. This will become the standard for our sunset arrivals back to the boat. Our chef, Tyron, is busy in the galley slicing limes while he prepares our meal. And he is using all fresh ingredients!
"It looks like we will be having lobster tonight..." |
We are told we can expect a very varied diet: chicken, turkey, beef, fish, lobster and even goat! All raised on the islands or flown in fresh
from the mainland. The vegetarians amongst us are happy when our chef explains that he is prepared with fresh fruit and vegetables, beans, rice and pasta. He is happy to accommodate
your dietary requirements as best he can. It is always best that we let him know ahead of time so he is prepared.

Pepe, our
captain (and owner of the boat), opens a bottle of white Chilean wine and toasts us all
- wishing us a trip of a lifetime. It is already starting to feel that way after our paddle in the turtle lagoon. Tyron brings the food in. It looks exceptional and is very well presented.
It is absolutely amazing what can come out of a small kitchen like this!
Mmmm, it is good!
